Good Hosting but Watch Out for Domain Fees

Hosting with Bluehost has been a decent experience, with one big red flag! The pricing is pretty ok for what they offer, and I've noticed good speed and uptime, which is great. However, I was disappointed to see I had to pay to transfer my domain even though they advertise free domain registration. I really think that should apply to everyone, not just new customers. Features are okay, and customer support could be better. Not bad overall!

10 Years with Blue Host - Still Going Strong!

It has been over 10 years since I started using Blue Host and I can still say that I am really happy with their service. The pricing is pretty good, and my site loads fast and rarely goes down. Customer support is good as well, they've helped me out on a few occasions. I've only had a couple of minor issues over the years, but nothing that wasn't sorted quickly.

I am paying too much

I have had an account with Bluehost for years and overall it's been fine. The performance is good, and I love how easy it was to set up my site. However, I ran into an issue when I hit my email limit and my account stopped working. I had to upgrade, which felt a bit pricey. Now everything's fine, but I do think they're a bit on the expensive side for what you get. Customer support could improve too!

Disappointing Experience with Bluehost

I was really excited to try Bluehost since their prices are pretty good. However, the performance was terrible!!! My website loaded so slowly it was unusable! I thought the features looked solid, but it just didn't make up for the awful speed. To top it off, their customer support was a nightmare. I reached out several times and never got a decent response. I ended up canceling my account within weeks. I expected better, honestly.

Decent for the price but can be improved

I don't even remember how long I've been using Bluehost. Probably over 10 years now. The prices are great, which is why I haven't switched yet, but honestly, everything else could use some work. The performance is just okay - my site sometimes lags which is frustrating. The features are pretty basic and the customer support is hit or miss. Sometimes you get help, sometimes you don't. For someone like me with just a personal blog, it's manageable but I wish it was smoother. Overall - not terrible but definitely not impressive.

Could be better

Decent but Needs Improvement

Avoid like the plague

Pages are taking forever to load or the requests time out, emails are delayed or they end up going to spam, support is almost nonexistent. I wish I didn't waste my time with Bluehost. 5 stars for pricing because they gave me back my money when I asked for a refund.

Spend your money somewhere else

I wasn't particularly happy with my previous host and decided to give Bluehost a try. It took forever to move everything over (more than 30 WordPress websites) but I am already looking for a third option. I don't know if it's due to me having so many domains in my account or it's just bad infrastructure on their part. Either way, all of my websites are quite sluggish and I have to pack up and move.

DO NOT USE THEM

Bluehost is a horrible company. I only stayed with them because it was a hassle to move my websites and because I chose to pay for 3 years in advance. Their support is not accomodating and they never listen. When I finally decided to escape from them they tried every trick in the book to make me stay. There are much better options out there and Im happy now that I dont have to deal with their nonsense anymore.
