As expected, results were best in Canada and the United States, where HostUpon operates its single data center in Toronto. Test locations in Montreal and several U.S. regions consistently delivered TTFB under 150 ms, with the fastest response recorded in Northern Virginia at 120 ms.

In Europe, results were generally good, averaging between 330–430 ms across major cities such as London, Paris, Frankfurt, and Milan. This level of latency is acceptable for most websites, but noticeably slower compared to North American tests.

Performance declined further in regions farther from Toronto. South America returned TTFB between 460–490 ms, while Asia-Pacific locations such as Tokyo, Singapore, and Sydney ranged from 550–740 ms. The slowest results were observed in India (874–933 ms) and the Middle East and Africa (680–785 ms).

HostUpon delivers strong performance in Canada and the U.S., decent results in Europe, and noticeably weaker speeds in other regions. This makes the service best suited for websites targeting a Canadian or North American audience, while international websites may benefit from a host with more diverse data center options.

Storage

HostUpon offers unlimited SSD storage on its shared hosting plans, ensuring fast performance and reliability. However, like most hosting providers, "unlimited" comes with fair usage restrictions.

While general website storage isn't capped, HostUpon limits media storage (videos, music, and images) to 50GB. Additionally, accounts must be used for website-related purposes—file storage or file-sharing activities are not allowed.
